KasiMarket operates a secure Escrow Protection System to support safe commerce within our marketplace ecosystem. The platform connects buyers, independent sellers, and registered courier service workers to facilitate reliable transactions and deliveries. When a buyer makes payment, funds are temporarily held in escrow until delivery verification is completed.

2. Escrow Payment Holding

  • Buyer payments are securely stored in marketplace escrow accounts.
  • Funds are released only after successful delivery confirmation.
  • Sellers and courier service workers are compensated after delivery validation.
  • Marketplace commission may be deducted prior to fund release.
  • Escrow holding duration depends on delivery type and protection period.

3. Buyer Protection

  • Buyer funds are protected until product receipt is confirmed.
  • Dispute claims must be submitted within the protection window.
  • Evidence such as photos, tracking data, or communication records may be required.
  • Fraudulent claims may result in account restrictions.

4. Seller Protection

  • Sellers are protected from unauthorized chargebacks after delivery completion.
  • Payment is released after buyer confirmation or automatic system release.
  • False or malicious dispute claims may be reviewed by marketplace administration.
  • Sellers must ensure product quality and accurate listing descriptions.

5. Courier Worker Protection and Job System

  • Registered courier workers may access delivery job opportunities through the platform.
  • Courier workers are paid after verified successful delivery.
  • Delivery proof such as GPS tracking, timestamps, or photo confirmation may be required.
  • The marketplace does not guarantee job availability but promotes fair job distribution.
  • Courier workers must follow platform delivery standards.

6. Escrow Release Conditions

  • Buyer confirms successful delivery.
  • Protection period expires without dispute.
  • Marketplace dispute resolution is completed.
  • Delivery verification data is validated.

7. Refunds and Dispute Resolution

  • Refunds are processed only after dispute validation.
  • Change of mind purchases may not automatically qualify for refunds.
  • Marketplace mediation may be used to resolve conflicts.
  • Platform decisions are considered final unless legally challenged.

8. Legal Jurisdiction

This Escrow Protection Policy is governed by the laws of South Africa and applies to all users including buyers, sellers, and courier service workers operating within the marketplace ecosystem.
